GIFTING GIFTS
Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for October 17th.
Topic: GRATITUDE. Key: DONATE.
Message of the day: Through the giving of our gifts, we find healing and purpose, transforming pain into joy.
Based on the biblical verse from 1ST OF PETER 4:10 which says: Each one according to the gift he has received, minister it to others, as good stewards of God's manifold grace.
Teaching: Donating our skills and resources resurrects hope and love in ourselves and those we touch.
Biblical Experience: Dorcas, a faithful woman in the early church, was known for making robes and coats for those in need, showing how the giving of her gifts resulted in common healing and joy.
Recent Story: Following the loss of her husband, Laura found comfort and purpose by volunteering her time at hospice, where her compassion brought healing and meaning to her and those she served.
Prayer: Gracious God, help me to give my gifts with an open heart, allowing pain to be transformed into love and service.
Action: Find ways to donate your skills and resources to others, transforming personal pain into paths of love and service to the community.
Reflection: By donating our gifts, we discover an incredible relationship with hope and redemption, transforming pain into transformative interactions filled with meaning and divine purpose.

2ND OF CORINTHIANS 9:7
Each one should give as he has purposed in his heart, not in sorrow or necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Spiritual Echo:
True gratitude flourishes by joyfully donating the talents we have received, administering God's multifaceted grace. By serving others with our abilities and resources, we not only heal and revive hope in them but find a profound purpose within ourselves. Transform any sorrow into active love and selfless service, for the greatest blessing resides in the act of giving with a cheerful heart.
