When everything said “it’s over”, God made a prophet buy besieged land and promised to write His law in besieged hearts. Scripture remained in a chest; the promise, in the firmament; and the covenant, in the soul. For the God of Jeremiah, hope is not a wish: it is a deed of ownership signed by the One for whom nothing is impossible.
