LOOKING INSIDE

Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for August 12th.

Topic: FAITH. Key: INTROSPECTION.

Message of the day: Introspection invites us to look within ourselves, inspiring deeper personal growth and connection with God.

Based on the biblical verse from 2ND OF CORINTHIANS 13:5 which says: Examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith; Test yourselves.

Teaching: Looking inward leads us to recognize our weaknesses and strengths, seeking divine guidance to live faithfully.

Biblical Experience: The psalmist cried out to God to examine his heart, seeking continued progress and divine guidance in his spiritual walk.

Recent Story: A man takes time each month for personal reflection and prayer, evaluating his path and making sure it is aligned with God's will.

Prayer: Lord, examine my heart and life, showing me the areas where I need to grow and align more with myself and your purpose.

Action: Dedicate regular moments to introspection and prayer, asking God to guide you in continuous personal growth and transformation.

Reflection: Reflect on how introspection can lead to meaningful growth, allowing you to discover new ways to live closer to Christ and his teaching.

Let's study the following two Bible Concordances in detail to expand on this concept:

PSALM 139:23-24

Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my thoughts. And see if there is a path of perversity in me.

LAMENTATIONS 3:40

Let us search our ways and examine ourselves, let us turn to the Lord.

Special Note from the Author:

When we dare to look within, we discover that faith is not only lived—it is cultivated in the secret places of the heart. Introspection is not weakness, but spiritual courage: the act of allowing God to reveal what we have yet to see. Let each day be an opportunity to grow, heal, and align more deeply with His purpose. For those who learn to listen to themselves with God, life is never the same again.

God blesses us today and always.
