MESSENGERS OF THE GOSPEL
Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for August 7th.
Topic: LOVE. Key: EVANGELIST.
Message of the day: Evangelists are messengers appointed to bring the good news boldly and clearly.
Based on the biblical verse from ROMANS 10:15 which says: And how will they preach if they are not sent? Thus it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bear the gospel of peace!
Teaching: Being a faithful messenger of the gospel requires surrender, courage, and compassionate love for those without the good news.
Biblical Experience: Peter, after Pentecost, arose as a powerful evangelist, preaching and baptizing multitudes, confirming the power of the Spirit in action.
Recent Experience: A young minister, inspired by evangelists of the past, dedicates his life to missions, bringing the gospel to communities that have heard little or nothing about Christ.
Prayer: Lord, enable me to be an evangelist of your truth, bringing your salvation and light to where the shadows still prevail.
Action: Act as a messenger of hope in your daily life, looking for opportunities to share the truth of the gospel in authentic and transformative ways.
Reflection: Reflect on how the role of the evangelist is essential in spreading the gospel, uniting hearts and minds to the eternal promise of salvation.

EPHESIANS 4:11-12
And he himself gave some apostles; and others, prophets; and others, evangelists; and others, pastors and teachers; to perfect the Saints for the work of the ministry.
2ND OF TIMOTHY 4:5
But you, be sober in everything, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
