PEACE THAT SURPASSES
Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for September 7th.
Topic: PEACE. Key: TRANQUILLITY.
Message of the day: Peace that surpasses all understanding is a safe haven in the midst of any storm.
Based on the biblical verse from PHILIPPIANS 4:7 which says: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Teaching: Divine tranquility infuses every situation with heavenly calm, protecting and directing our thoughts and emotions.
Biblical Experience: The Apostle Paul, even in the face of prison and danger, wrote to the Philippians about the indescribable peace that God bestows; a peace that protected his heart even in the most severe adversity.
Recent Story: In a hospital, Marcos, after accepting his son's defiant diagnosis, trusted in God. The peace he experienced filled him with serenity to face the unpredictable, teaching the reader that faith allows us to learn and discover inexplicable tranquilitys in times of crisis.
Prayer: God of peace, envelop me in your tranquility that goes beyond what I can comprehend, faithfully sustaining me in all my trials.
Action: Find moments to immerse yourself in God's presence, receiving His peace and allowing Him to renew your thoughts and guide your steps.
Reflection: Immerse yourself in the incredible tranquility that only God can offer, and notice how, amazingly, He keeps you steadfast and serene even in the face of circumstances that would have been insurmountable without His help.
Let's study the following two Bible Concordances in detail to expand on this concept:
JOHN 16:33
These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have affliction, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
PSALM 29:11
Jehovah will give power to his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.
Spiritual Echo:
God’s peace cannot be explained by reason; it is experienced deep within the heart. It is that unseen refuge that holds us when storms rage and uncertainty strikes hard. In the midst of pain or confusion, His calm descends like a mantle that guards our minds and gives us serenity. This peace does not remove the trials but reminds us we are not alone, for Christ has already overcome the world. Thus, the incomprehensible becomes certain: His peace covers us and keeps us steadfast.
God blesses us today and always.
