PLACE OF CULTIVATION

Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for July 26th.

Topic: GRATITUDE. Key: GARDEN.

Message of the day: Gardens are places of cultivation that reflect our spiritual growth and the beauty of God's creation.

Based on the biblical verse from ISAIAH 58:11 which says: I will water my garden with water for rest; and my soul will rejoice and be fertilized.

Teaching: Just as we care for and cultivate a garden, we must cultivate our spiritual lives with love, patience, and purpose.

Biblical Experience: The Garden of Eden was the first human home, a place of beauty and perfection where God and man lived together in harmony.

Recent Experience: Creating and maintaining a community garden teaches Brandon (The Director) and his participants the importance of caring for each other, patience, and love not only for nature, but also for each other.

Prayer: Lord, help me to cultivate my soul as a garden where your love and truth flourish, showing myself always willing to care for the world you created.

Action: Take time to cultivate both your physical and spiritual space, looking at both places as sacred ground for growth, rest, and worship.

Reflection: Consider how every act of cultivation and care in the garden of your spiritual life is an opportunity to grow in faith, love, and compassion toward all creation.

Let's study the following two Bible Concordances in detail to expand on this concept:

JOHN 15:1-2

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch that does not bear fruit in me he will take away; and everyone who bears fruit he will cleanse it so that it will bear more fruit.

GALATIANS 6:9

Let us not grow weary, then, of doing good; for in due season we shall reap, if we do not faint.

God blesses us today and always.
