PROGRESSING WITH JESUS
Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for September 22nd.
Topic: PRAYER. Key: JESUSCHRIST.
Message of the day: Progressing with Jesus is a journey toward a more intimate and deeper relationship with God.
Based on the biblical verse from PHILIPPIANS 1:6 which says: Being convinced of this, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Teaching: By following Jesus, one experiences continuous growth and development in their spiritual life.
Biblical Experience: Peter is called by Jesus while he was fishing. After an unsuccessful night, Jesus instructs him to cast the nets again and has a miraculous catch of fish. This event marks the beginning of Peter's ministry with Jesus and his spiritual progress.
Recent Story: John, a new Christian, decided to commit to studying the life of Jesus in the Bible daily. This act of spiritual diligence strengthened him, bringing amazing growth that impacted family and friends. Their journey demonstrates how progress with Jesus transforms lives and relationships.
Prayer: Lord, guide me to continue to progress with Jesus, leaving the old and seeking ever more of His divine presence and guidance.
Action: Spend time nurturing your faith, actively seeking spiritual growth with Jesus and the application of God's Word.
Reflection: The adventure of progressing with Jesus calls us to an abandonment of the past, moving into the future full of promise and the constant amazing guidance of our Creator.
