RELATIONSHIP WITH THE EARTH

Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for October 23rd.

Topic: PRAYER. Key: ECOLOGY.

Message of the day: Our relationship with the earth reflects a deep understanding of healing and care for one another in God's creation.

Based on the biblical verse from PSALM 65:9 which says: You have made the earth to bear its fruit, and you have filled it with beauty.

Teaching: To care for the earth is to heal our roots and honor God's intentional design.

Biblical Experience: In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were Charged with caring for every part of creation, symbolizing the harmonious relationship between humanity and nature initially envisioned by God.

Recent Story: After years of working in the city, Raul found new purpose by returning to his homeland, dedicating himself to sustainable farming practices that renewed both his environment and his inner peace.

Prayer: Lord, teach me to value and care for the earth as an extension of your beautiful creation, acting with love and grace.

Action: Participate in activities that promote responsible care for the environment, contributing to the common good and preservation of our earthly home.

Reflection: Healing our relationship with the earth fills us with awe as we discover God's call for a sustained symbiosis between humanity and creation, finding peace in every conscious interaction.

Let's study the following two Bible Concordances in detail to expand on this concept:

GENESIS 9:3

All that moves and lives shall be for your maintenance: like vegetables and green plants, I have given you everything.

LEVITICUS 25:23

Moreover, the land will not be sold in perpetuity, because the land is mine; for you strangers and strangers are unto me.

Spiritual Echo:

Our relationship with the Earth is a mirror of our healing and deep understanding of God's design. He made the Earth to yield its fruit and filled it with intentional beauty. Caring for it, as entrusted to Adam in Eden, is to heal our own roots and honor the Creator. By practicing ecology with love and grace, we discover a vital symbiosis and find inner peace, fulfilling our calling to the stewardship of this earthly home.

God blesses us today and always.
