SHELTER IN THE STORM
Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for October 16th.

Message of the day: True refuge is found in serving with dedication, protecting and being protected by divine love in the midst of storms.
Based on the biblical verse from PSALM 46:1 which says: God is our refuge and strength, our very present help in tribulations.
Teaching: Serving with a protective heart leads us to find and give refuge in God's love.
Biblical Experience: During the storm across the sea, Jesus showed that his authority over nature provided safe refuge, calling us to faith and leading us to trust in his protection even in the most turbulent.
Recent Story: Thais dedicated her time to creating a shelter for displaced children, teaching them values and offering safety. Their tireless service is a testament to how love and protection can transfigure and heal lives.
Prayer: Lord, make me a servant of your peace, being a refuge of love and protection for those around me in times of storm.
Action: Look for ways to serve with an open heart and a willingness to give protection and support wherever needed, reflecting God's love in all circumstances.
Reflection: Being a refuge in the storm not only strengthens those we help, but also reveals surprisingly how love and sacrifice generate inner peace beyond imagination, transforming both the protector and the protected.
