SPIRITUAL PROGRESS
Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for September 23rd.
Topic: PEACE. Key: DEVELOP.
Message of the day: Personal and spiritual development is a journey that reflects our continued progress toward maturity in faith.
Based on the biblical verse from 2ND OF PETER 3:18 which says: Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Teaching: Spiritual progress demands constant growth in the grace and understanding of Christ.
Biblical Experience: The apostle Paul counseled the Corinthians to be open to spiritual transformation, urging them to grow and mature in their faith through the Spirit. This teaching has guided generations in their quest for spiritual progress.
Recent Story: Martha, after facing a period of spiritual stagnation, decided to join a Bible study group. Over time, she grew deeply in her faith, finding renewed purpose and energy to serve her community. This reminds us that spiritual progress is never limited by our initial situation.
Prayer: Lord, help me to develop and advance in my spiritual life, strengthened by your grace and enriched in the knowledge of your love and truth.
Action: Engage in spiritual practices that promote continued growth, focusing on learning and maturing more and more in your faith.
Reflection: Spiritual progress is not just a forward movement, but an integration into every facet of our lives, allowing God's love and power to transform every aspect, reaching goals beyond our initial expectations.
Let's study the following two Bible Concordances in detail to expand on this concept:
PHILIPPIANS 1:6
I am convinced of this: He who began such a good work in you will be perfecting it until the day of Christ Jesus.
EPHESIANS 4:15
Following the truth in love, let us grow in all things into him who is the head, that is, Christ.
Spiritual Echo:
Spiritual progress is a constant journey that invites us to grow in grace and knowledge, moving step by step toward the maturity of faith. It does not depend on who we once were but on what God works in us each day, renewing our strength and purpose. Along the way we learn that even stagnation can become momentum when we open our hearts to divine guidance. True peace arises as we develop our inner life, allowing God’s love to shape every aspect and lead us toward higher horizons of fulfillment.
God blesses us today and always.
