Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for August 9th.
Topic: HAPPINESS. Key: EUCHARIST.
Message of the day: The Eucharist connects us to Christ's redemptive sacrifice and nourishes our spiritual life.
Based on the biblical verse from LUKE 22:19 which says: And he took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to him, saying, Take, eat; this is my body, which is given for you.
Teaching: Participating at the Lord's table strengthens our connection to God and to the community of believers.
Biblical Experience: At the Last Supper, Jesus established the Eucharist as a symbol of his new covenant, commemorating his sacrifice and love for humanity.
Recent Story: A congregation celebrates communion in a public park, making this event an open celebration of faith and community united in Christ.
Prayer: Lord, by participating in your Eucharist, renew my faith and love for you, allowing me to live as a reflection of your sacrifice and grace.
Action: Participate regularly in the Eucharist, allowing this sacred act to foster the unity and depth of your relationship with Christ.
Reflection: Reflect on how the Eucharist is not only a means of grace, but an ongoing invitation to live and share God's love and promises in every daily encounter.
