TESTS TO GROW
Welcome to the Awakening With God Devotional for September 28th.
Topic: FAITH. Key: SUFFER.
Message of the day: Trials and sufferings are opportunities to grow in faith and strengthen our Character in Christ.
Based on the biblical verse from JAMES 1:2-3 which says: My brethren, count it all joy when you find yourselves in various trials, knowing that the trial of your faith produces patience.
Teaching: Trials strengthen our faith, producing patience and preparing us for deeper spiritual growth.
Biblical Experience: Job faced unimaginable suffering, but he maintained his faith in God. In the end, he received even greater understanding and blessing, demonstrating how trials can be helpful for meaningful growth.
Recent Story: [Author]: In my testimony, I mention that after a sudden illness, I discovered how much strength I had thanks to my faith. The trial, although painful, taught me compassion and reliance on God, inspiring others for personal and spiritual growth.
Prayer: Merciful God, give me the strength to see every trial as an opportunity for growth, and sustain my faith in the midst of suffering.
Action: Approach trials with a perspective of faith and hope, learning from each experience to draw closer to God.
Reflection: Suffering, seen as part of the path to spiritual growth, brings us closer to a richer and more mature relationship with God, surprising us with the depth of Character that develops in the process.

ROMANS 5:3-4
Not only this, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces patience; and patience, proven Character; and proven Character, hope.
1ST OF PETER 1:6-7
In which you rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you must be afflicted in various trials.
Spiritual Echo:
The trials in our lives are not punishments, but opportunities for our faith to mature and our character to be strengthened in Christ. Even when suffering feels overwhelming, in the midst of it we discover patience, hope, and a deeper trust in God. Each challenge becomes a lesson that draws us closer to His purpose and teaches us compassion for others. By standing firm, we experience how God turns pain into growth and brokenness into resilience. In this way, we see that every trial is part of a journey shaping and preparing us for greater spiritual blessings.
